Abstract

Pueden elaborarse peliculas orientadas, delgadas, polimericas, mediante la utilizacion de una combinacion de un proceso de soplado en caliente y un proceso de burbuja soplada, es decir un proceso de doble burbuja. La pelicula resultante tiene su utilizacion en el reemplazamiento del cloruro de polivinilo PVC para aplicarse en envolturas de estiramiento para uso interno en tiendas. El polietileno de muy baja densidad VLDPE, es un material especialmente preferido para este proceso. Puede utilizarse como una monocapa, o como una capa de una estructura de capas multiples. Al practicar la invencion, el polimero se extruye y se sopla en caliente, y se calienta a una temperatura por encima de su temperatura de orientacion. Este calentamiento puede lograrse mediante el empleo de un recipiente o receptaculo de liquido, calentado, colocado en el extremo inferior de la burbuja primaria, dentro de la burbuja. La pelicula calentada, que se ha soplado en caliente, se hace pasar entonces a traves de un primer juego de rodillos de apriete, se vuelve a inflar para dar una burbuja soplada, y se coloca en un segundo juego de rodillos de apriete o contraccion. Mediante este proceso se obtienen materiales de empaque elasticos, resistentes y delgados.
