Abstract
Se proporciona un aparato 10 para producir una aleacion de metal semisolido de una carga de fusion que incluye zonas 12, 12.1 y 12.2 de tratamiento verticalmente alineadas las cuales son pasajes verticalmente alineados definidos por una pluralidad de tuberias 132 de flujo de devanado en espiral que se intercalan entre las bobinas 130 de induccion de devanado en espiral. Un contenedor 14 se monta en un arreglo 20 de carga que desplaza una primera carga hacia arriba en la primera zona 12 de tratamiento. Las cargas sucesivas se introducen en una forma similar por lo que impulsan la carga previamente introducida hacia arriba a lo largo del tren de zonas 12, 12.1 y 12.2 hasta que la carga de conduccion se expulsa desde la parte superior del aparato 10. La carga en cada zona se somete a enfriamiento controlado y a un campo electromagnetico inducido. La resistencia del campo y la velocidad del enfriamiento se controlan para impedir la cristalizacion dendritica y para promover la formacion de cristal primario globular.
