Abstract
Un metodo para vigilar el avance de trabajo de parto en una madre durante el nacimiento del bebe, usando un sensor de posicion para medir un punto predeterminado en la madre; vigilar la ubicacion del sensor de posicion en el espacio tridimensional; y vigilar la ubicacion de la parte fetal de presentacion con respecto al punto predeterminado en la madre. La ubicacion de la parte fetal de presentacion puede ser indicada por un sensor similar de posicion, o por toma de imagen. Otras condiciones, tales como la ocultacion, la dilatacion del cuello y la posicion cervical pueden ser vigiladas tambien de manera similar. Se puede proveer un punto de referencia o fijacion al sensor de posicion, por ejemplo, uniendo una llave u objeto con forma a uno o mas puntos en el feto o en la madre.
