Abstract

Un metodo para formar un material o cuerpo ceramico, que comprende los pasos de: i) proporcionar una mezcla que contiene agua de materias primas; ii) formar la mezcla en una formar; iii) remover el agua de la forma; iv) cocer la forma a una temperatura suficiente para efectuar la sinterizacion y/o reaccion de las materias primas y de este modo formar un material o cuerpo ceramico; en el cual las materias primas incluyen un material polimerico higroscopico capaz de retener agua en la mezcla sobre un intervalo de temperaturas por arriba del punto de ebullicion del agua. El material polimerico higroscopico puede ser un llamado superabsorbedor, y las materias primas pueden comprender carburo de silicio, grafito, azucar y almidon.
