Abstract

Un aparato tal como un receptor de senales de television incluye primera y segunda placas de base. La primera placa de base incluye una memoria, y circuitos de control para controlar por lo menos una funcion del aparato. La segunda placa de base esta acoplada de manera operable a la primera placa de base via lineas de control. La segunda placa de base incluye un controlador para generar primera y segunda senales de control. Las lineas de control transmiten las primeras senales de control desde controlador a la memoria cuando el aparato esta en un primer estado operacional, y transmiten las segundas senales de control desde el controlador al circuito de control cuando el aparato esta en un segundo estado operacional. Para evitar escritura inadvertida en la memoria durante el segundo estado operacional, el controlador coloca la memoria en un estado no energizado cuando el controlador transmite las segundas senales de control al circuito de control. Tambien, se proporcionan medios para evitar que la memoria mantenga las lineas de control en un estado, por ejemplo, nivel bajo, durante el estado no energizado para permitir que continuen las comunicaciones en las lineas de control.
