Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un compuesto biactivo, o familia de compuestos, sometidos a biosintesis por una celula, usando una pluralidad de actividades enzimaticas. Se proporcionan celulas hospedadoras que carecen substancialmente de la bioactividad, pero poseen al menos una primera actividad enzimatica (o acido nucleico que codifica una enzima correspondiente). Las celulas son transformadas con acido nucleico que se puede expresar para proporcionar al menos, una segunda actividad enzimatica la cual habilita a las celulas a las celulas para producir un compuesto bioactivo.
