Abstract

La invencion provee un metodo para proveer espacios huecos en fibra prensada de yeso y en una composicion de nucleo de yeso de modo que el peso del producto de yeso se reduzca sin afectar de manera nociva sus propiedades mecanicas; especificamente, la invencion provee un metodo para proveer espacios huecos en una fibra prensada de yeso que comprende el paso de anadir burbujas de aire que tienen estabilidades relativas diferentes a una suspension de yeso, en donde las burbujas de aire menos estables son suficientemente inestables de modo que chocan en contacto entre si en la suspension para formar burbujas de aire mas grandes, y la relacion en peso de las burbujas de aire menos estables a las burbujas de aire mas estables inicialmente anadidas a la suspension es tal que existe un numero suficiente de burbujas de aire mas estables para evitar que una mayoria de las burbujas de aire menos estables se vuelvan lo suficientemente grandes para romperse antes de que la suspension se fije de manera suficiente para evitar que la suspension llene espacios huecos que quedan por burbujas rotas; el metodo incluye ademas los pasos de mezclar la suspension de yeso que contiene burbujas de aire para distribuir las burbujas de aire en toda la suspension para formar una composicion de nucleo de fibra prensada de yeso, depositar la composicion de nucleo en una hoja de cubierta, y aplicar una segunda hoja de cubierta sobre la composicion de nucleo para formar una fibra prensada de yeso.
