Abstract
Se describe un metodo para tratar una mena de sulfuro polimetalica que contiene oro y/o plata, y que ademas contiene metales bases seleccionados del grupo que consiste de hierro, aluminio, cromo, titanio, cobre, zinc, plomo, niquel, cobalto, mercurio, estano, y mezclas de los mismos. El metodo comprende los pasos de triturar la mena de sulfuro polimetalica para producir granulos, oxidar los granulos para producir granulos oxidados, y lixiviar con cloro los granulos utilizando una solucion de salmuera incluyendo halogenos disueltos, al igual que sales de cloro y bromo.
