Abstract
La invencion proporciona un novedoso acido nucleico de sucrosa sintasa aislado y su proteina codificada. La presente invencion tambien proporciona metodos y composiciones relacionadas a la alteracion de los niveles de sucrosa sintasa en plantas y en particular, en tallos de plantas y/o semillas de plantas. La invencion ademas proporciona casetes de expresion recombinantes, celulas hospederas, plantas transgenicas y composiciones de anticuerpos.
