Abstract

Se describen instrumentos manuales (10) que pueden emplearse para accionar una herramienta montada distalmente (16) mediante la aplicacion de fuerza compresiva radial alrededor de la circunferencia del instrumento (10) (es decir, omniaccionable). En modalidades preferidas, los instrumentos manuales (10) tienen un mango (12) que incluye un ensamble accionador (14) para accionar una herramienta (16), en donde el ensamble accionador (14) tiene un canal circunferencial generalmente en forma de V (R1, R2, R3, R4) en el cual una banda accionadora (30, 32) es asentada. Se proporciona un ensamble de anillo deslizable que define el canal circunferencial generalmente en forma de V (R1, R2, R3, R4) y tiene por lo menos un anillo deslizable (22, 24) montado para movimientos longitudinales en relacion al mango (12). La banda accionadora (30, 32) es radialmente flexible. De esta manera, en respuesta a una fuerza compresiva, la banda accionadora (30, 32) asentada dentro del canal generalmente en forma de V (R1, R2, R3, R4) sera flexionada radialmente hacia adentro para mover de esta forma el anillo deslizable (22, 24) longitudinalmente. El anillo deslizable (22, 24), a su vez, coactua operativamente con la herramienta montada distalmente (16) (por ejemplo, a traves de un pasador accionador deslizable longitudinalmente (40) ). El movimiento radial de la banda accionadora (30, 32) es traducido de esta forma en el movimiento longitudinal del anillo deslizable, movimiento longitudinal que se emplea despues para accionar la herramienta (16).
