Abstract

La invencion se refiere a una dispersion coloidal acuosa en base a al menos un compuesto lantanido y un agente acomplejante con un pK (cologaritmo de la constante de disociacion del complejo formado por el agente acomplejante y el cation lantanido) de mas de 2.5. Esta dispersion tambien puede comprender un compuesto de al menos otro elemento seleccionado de los grupos IVa, Va, VIa, VIIa, VIII, Ib y IIb de la tabla periodica. Un proceso para preparar la dispersion se inicia a partir de una mezcla acuosa que comprende al menos una sal lantanida, una sal de uno de los elementos anteriormente citados, si es apropiado, y el agente acomplejante; despues se agrega una base a la mezcla y se calienta hasta obtener la dispersion. La dispersion puede utilizarse en un substrato como un agente anticorrosion, en una composicion cosmetica, en catalisis, en la preparacion de peliculas de polimero, en lubricacion o en ceramicas.
