Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona composiciones de herbicidas mejorados, metodos para preparar las composiciones y metodos para controlar el crecimiento de plantas. La materia objeto se refiere a combinar herbicidas basados en acidos grasos y otros herbicidas con acido succinico, derivado de acido succinico y otros aditivos tales como aquellos que no tienen esencialmente actividad herbicida, para incrementar la actividad del herbicida y proporcionar metodos para controlar el crecimiento de plantas, mediante la aplicacion de una combinacion de un acido graso herbicida con acido succinico y/o compuestos quimicos derivados del acido succinico y/u otros aditivos. Ademas el uso del acido succinico, la combinacion de otros acidos del ciclo de Krebs con herbicidas tambien puede proporcionar efectos beneficos. La concentracion de los herbicidas y aditivos aplicada a las plantas de conformidad con la presente invencion, puede incluir composiciones que tienen de 0.1 a 30% del herbicida, de preferencia de 0.5 a 15% del herbicida y aditivo y mas preferiblemente de 1 a 8% del herbicida. La relacion del herbicida, tal como el acido graso herbicida, con respecto a los aditivos mejoradores de la actividad, puede ser de 1:10 a 20:1, de preferencia de 1:1 a 20:1 y mas preferiblemente 1:1 a 5:1.
