Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un sistema de comunicación entre un transmisor y un receptor, dicho transmisor transmite datos digitales vía un canal de comunicación al receptor. Dicho sistema de comunicación proporciona una identificación de los datos que son capaces de un uso múltiple al nivel del transmisor mediante descriptores de datos insertados en el flujo de datos enviados desde el transmisor al receptor. El flujo de datos recibido en la terminal del receptor entonces se analiza para detectar la presencia de descriptores de datos que indiquen la presencia de datos de uso múltiple. Siempre que el dicho descriptor se detecte, se almacena de forma local en el nivel del receptor junto con los datos a los que se relaciona. Los datos de uso múltiple entonces almacenados se pueden utilizar no sólo de forma inmediata después de su recepción en la terminal del receptor, sino que también de forma subsiguiente sin la necesidad de solicitarlos del transmisor.
