Abstract

Un filtro de quemador radiante (8) que comprende un substrato formado por un material de espuma ceramica resistente al calor, poroso y rigido que tiene una traceria o forma reticular delgada que demarca los poros los cuales abren uno en el otro y de los cuales existen aproximadamente 30 poros o menos por 645.16 milimetros cuadrados. Este material de espuma ceramica puede ser permeado facil y rapidamente a traves de productos de combustion calientes gaseosos de un combustible fluido, por ejemplo un quemador de gas natural (4). El material de espuma ceramica, el cual puede ser un silicato de alumina preferentemente con silice no libre, soporta un rociado en el recubrimiento del emisor de radiacion en el lado (14) del filtro (8). El recubrimiento del emisor comprende un elemento de tierra rara y/o un compuesto de una tierra rara. La tierra rara puede ser iterbio o erbio y el compuesto puede ser iterbia o erbia. El calor procedente de los productos de combustion calientes origina que el recubrimiento del emisor emita radiacion incidente en una arreglo de celda fotovoltaica (10) para producir energia electrica dentro de la salida en linea (12).
