Abstract

Un mecanismo de proteccion termica para motores electricos que incluye un par de contacto separados asegurados con un portador electricamente aislante que tiene una cavidad y una superficie adyacente a una bobina del motor. La superficie del portador tiene una abertura que forma un pasaje termico entre la superficie del portador y la cavidad. Los contactos estan acoplados con una clavija electricamente conductora fusible hecha de una soldadura que esta dispuesta dentro de la cavidad y que se interpone a lo largo del trayecto de corriente para las bobinas del motor. Una temperatura alta de bobina provoca que la clavija se funda, lo cual termina la operacion del motor.
