Abstract

Se divulga un aparato de compresion de datos para señal de informacion digital de datos comprimidos obtenidos a partir de una señal de audio digital. La señal de informacion digital, comprendiendo p-1 muestras, donde p es un entero mayor a 1. El aparato comprendiendo una entrada (16) para recibir la señal de informacion digital, una unidad de compresion de baja pérdida (18) para llevar a cabo un paso de compresion de sustancialmente baja pérdida en la señal de informacion digital de manera a obtener una señal de informacion digital de datos comprimidos. La unidad de compresion de baja pérdida (18) comprende un codificador Rice se distingue por un parámetro de codigo m. Además, una terminal de salida (22) esta disponible para suministrar la señal de informacion digital de datos comprimidos. El codificador Rice comprende una unidad generadora (30) para generar dicho parámetro de codigo m a partir de N muestras de la señal de informacion digital de acuerdo con la formula (I) donde A y B son constantes y x[n] es la n-ava muestra de las N muestras, donde N es un entero mayor a 0.
