Abstract
Es posible poner en un estado de ahorro de energía a un transceptor selectivo de llamadas alimentado por baterías que opera en un sistema de comunicacion bidireccional con un sistema de comunicacion RF. Un control del usuario ubicado en el transceptor le permite al usuario elegir la duracion de un intervalo de ahorro de energía. El transceptor envía, al sistema de comunicacion, una señal en la que solicita que el transceptor ingrese en un estado de ahorro de energía durante el intervalo seleccionado. Al recibir una señal de reconocimiento proveniente del sistema, el transceptor ingresa en el estado de ahorro de energía.
