Abstract

Se presenta una aleacion de acero inoxidable ferrítico que tiene una combinacionunica de maquinabilidad, formabilidad en frío, soldabilidad y resistencia a la corrosion. La aleacion presentada tiene la siguiente composicion en por ciento en peso; carbono 0.08% en peso máximo, Manganeso 1.00% en peso máximo, Silicio 1.00% en peso máximo, Fosforo 0.040% en peso máximo, Azufre 0.030-0% en peso, Cromo 10.5-11.75% en peso, Molibdeno0.50% en peso máximo, Cobre 0.50% en peso máximo, Niquel 0.50% en peso máximo, Aluminio 0.10% en peso máximo, Columbio 10 x C hasta 0.80% en peso. El resto es esencialmente fierro. La novedosa aleacion está particularmente adaptada para componentes utilizados en sistemas automotrices de combustion y/o escape. También se presentan varios de estos componentes fabricados a partir de la aleacion antes mencionada.
