Abstract

Se suministra esponja de hierro granular a una prensa de rodillos a temperaturas de 600 a 850 degree C para moldeado de briquetas calientes. Se produce una estructura de tira de esponja de hierro que contiene las briquetas calientes formadas, las cuales se colocan a una distancia entre sí. Al desintegrar la estructura de tira, las briquetas calientes se separan entre sí, de manera que se obtienen fragmentos de la estructura de tira. Las briquetas calientes y por lo menos parte de los fragmentos se enfrían a temperaturas en el intervalo desde 20 hasta 400 degree C, y las briquetas enfriadas y fragmentos se hacen pasar a través de un tambor giratorio. En el tambor giratorio, se producen finos de grano fino de las briquetas y fragmentos. Posteriormente, estos finos se separan de las briquetas y fragmentos, pues muestran un comportamiento piroforico.
