Abstract

Un proceso para la preparacion de amoniaco a presion y temperatura elevadas en un reactor de amoniaco, el cual comprende pasar una corriente del proceso de gas de síntesis de amoniaco sucesivamente a través de cuando menos tres lechos catalizadores, y hacer reaccionar el gas de síntesis en los lechos; enfriar de una manera intermedia el gas de síntesis parcialmente reaccionado que sale de los lechos catalizadores, mediante intercambio de calor en los intercambiadores de calor configurados entre cada lecho catalizador, y retirar un efluente de producto rico en amoniaco, en donde la corriente del proceso se obtiene mediante la combinacion, antes de introducirse en un primer lecho catalizador, de una primera corriente de alimentacion de gas de síntesis que se ha precalentado a través de intercambio de calor indirecto, durante el enfriamiento intermedio del gas de síntesis parcialmente convertido, una segunda corriente de alimentacion de gas de síntesis que se ha precalentado mediante intercambio de calor indirecto con el efluente del producto, y una tercera corriente de alimentacion de gas de síntesis para ajustar la temperatura de la corriente del proceso, y en donde la primera corriente de alimentacion se pasa sucesivamente a través de los intercambiadores de calor entre lechos para enfriar el gas de síntesis parcialmente convertido.
