Abstract

Se describe un método para inhibir la expresion de genes; el método, que afecta la actividad enzimática en una planta, comprende expresar en una planta (una célula, un tejido o un organo de la misma) una secuencia de nucleotidos, caracterizado además porque la secuencia de nucleotidos se codifica, parcial o completamente, para un intron en una orientacion de antisentido; y porque la secuencia de nucleotidos no contiene una secuencia que esté en antisentido a una secuencia de exones asociada normalmente con el intron.
