Abstract
Una tira de prueba reactiva, de capas multiples, mide la concentracion de analito en una muestra de líquido que se le aplica; la muestra es guiada a variasáreas de análisis dispuestas a lo largo de la tira, en donde el analito puede reaccionar con un reactivo para provocar un cambio de color; cada área de análisis incluye también un inhibidor para la reaccion de cambio de color; la concentracion del inhibidor aumenta en áreas de análisis sucesivas; de tal manera, el numero de áreas de cambio de color es una medicion de la concentracion de analito; la tira de prueba está adaptada particularmente para medir glucosa en una muestra de sangre entera; en una modalidad preferida, la muestara es guiada hasta lasáreas de análisis a lo largo de una trayectoria formada aplastando áreas seleccionadas de una membrana, y las áreas de análisis son áreas no aplastadas de la membrana.
