Abstract
En el caso del método OFDM, un gran numero de portadores modulados son transmitidos utilizando multiplexado de division de frecuencia, un espectro que tiene una forma virtualmente rectangular que es producida por un resultado del gran numero de portadores. Con el fin de separar los portadores uno del otro otra vez en el receptor, se lleva a cabo una transformacion rápida de Fourier, esto entonces siendo posible para separar cada portador claramente de los otros con la condicion que los portadores sean exactamente ortogonales con respecto uno al otro. La ortogonalidad del portador, puede sin embargo, ser perturbada por varias causas. Adicionalmente, la señal deseada debe ser separada de las señales de canal adyacentes no deseadas por filtracion análoga o digital en el receptor. Con el fin de mejorar la separacion del portador y el canal, puede ser incrementada la selectividad de la filtracion de FFT alargando el numero de componentes de FFT. Sin embargo, esto conduce normalmente a un incremento agudo no deseado en la complejidad el cálculo. El refinamiento de acuerdo a la invencion del tiempo el cual se utiliza para la FFT y el sobremuestreado antes de la FFT hace esto posible, sin embargo, para eximir el cálculo de alguno de los coeficientes.
