Abstract

Una red de comunicacion tiene una arquitectura de bus bidireccional flexible (FBDNA) y se arregla en forma de una estructura de anillo. Si se rompe una fibra, el conmutador de nodo (o bien los conmutadores de nodo) en el nodo (o bien nodos) cercanos a la ruptura y del mismo lado del nodo que la ruptura se desconecta, y el conmutador de nodo que estaba desconecta, y el conmutador de nodo que estaba desconectado antes de la ruptura se conecta, permitiendo así que la red opere en gran medida como antes. Si la red tiene dos conmutadores de nodo, dos conmutadores de nodo juntos entre ellos en nodos aledaños se desconectan inicialmente, si ocurre una ruptura del cable, ambos conmutadores de nodo alrededor de una ruptura se desconectan, los conmutadores de nodo que estaban inicialmente desconectados se conectan. La red proporciona una comunicacion de proteccion del tráfico y resuelve el problema de la ASE circularmente de manera sencilla y economica. La red permite también una reconfiguracion de longitudes de onda para reducir el numero de longitudes de onda requeridos.
