Abstract

Se describe un macromonomero de la formula I: Q-PFPE-L-M-L-PFPE-Q en donde Q puede ser igual o diferente, y es un grupo polimerizable, PFPE puede ser igual o diferente, es poliéter perfluorado de la formula II: -OCH2CF2O (CF2CF2O)x(CF2O) y CF2CH2O- en donde las unidades CF2CF2O y CF2O pueden distribuirse al azar, o se pueden distribuir como bloques a través de toda la cadena, y en donde x e y pueden ser iguales o diferentes, de tal manera que el peso molecular del poliéter perfluorado está en la escala de 242 a 4,000; L puede ser igual o diferente, y es un grupo de enlace difuncional; y M es un residuo de un polímero o copolímero difuncional, en donde M tiene un peso molecular de 180 a 6,000 que comprende unidades de repeticion de silicona de la formula III: en donde R1 y R2 pueden ser iguales o diferentes, y se seleccionan a partir del grupo que consiste en hidrogeno alquilo, arilo, alquilo sustituido por halogeno, y similares. El macromonomero se puede utilizar en la produccion de lentes de contacto, implantes corneos, sustratos de crecimiento celular, o implantes médicos.
