Abstract

Se describen macromonomeros de la formula I: Q-B(L-B)nT en donde n es cuando menos 1.0; Q es un grupo polimerizable; B puede ser igual o diferente, y es un bloque difuncional de un peso molecular en la escala de 100 a 4, 000, y en donde cuando menos un B es un poliéter perfluorado de la formula II: -OCH2CF2O(CF2CF2O)x(CF2O)yCF2CH2O en donde las unidades CF2CF2O y CF2O pueden estar distribuidas al azar, o pueden estar distribuidas como bloques a través de toda la cadena, y en donde x e y pueden ser iguales o diferentes, de tal manera que el peso molecular del poliéter perfluorado esté en la escala de 242 a 4, 000; L es un grupo de enlace difuncional; y T es un grupo terminal. Estos macromonomeros se pueden utilizar en la produccion de lentes de contacto, implantes corneos, sustratos de crecimiento celular,o implantes médicos.
