Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para activar polisacáridos, en donde el material de partida de polisacárido es puesto en contacto con amoníaco líquido a una presion inicial que es mayor que la presion atmosférica y a una temperatura de por lo menos aproximadamente 25 degree C, la cantidad de amoníaco líquido siendo suficiente por lo menos para humedecer la superficie del material de partida de polisacárido que se posteriormente expandida; el volumen disponible para el sistema de polisacárido/amoníaco líquido es agrandado en forma de un a explosion disminuyendo la presion a por lo menos 5 varias; el procedimiento es particularmente adecuado para activar celulosa, goma guar, almidon y quitina; el procedimiento hace posible que la celulosa sea modificada de una manera novedosa; los polisacáridos activados despliegan una mayor actividad y una eliminacion de reactivos mejorada durante la acilacion, alquilacion sililacion, xantogenacion y carbamoilacion con procedimientos de reaccion ampliamente homogéneos.
