Abstract
Esta invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para producir polvo de metal de cobre a partir de un material cuprífero, que incluye: (A) poner en contacto dicho material cuprífero con una cantidad efectiva de al menos una solucion acuosa de lixiviacion para disolver iones cobre en dicha solucion de lixiviacion y formar una solucion acuosa de lixiviacion rica en cobre; (B) poner en contacto dicha solucion acuosa de lixiviacion rica en cobre con una cantidad efectiva de al menos un extractor insoluble en agua para transferir iones sobre de dicha solucion acuosa de lixiviacion rica en cobre a dicho extractor para formar un extractor rico en cobre y una solucion acuosa de lixiviacion con cobre agotado; (C) separar dicho extractor rico en cobre de dicha solucion acuosa de lixiviacion con cobre agotado; (D) poner en contacto dicho extractor rico en cobre con una cantidad efectiva de al menos una solucion acuosa de lavado para transferir iones sobre de dicho extractor a dicha solucion de lavado para formar una solucion de lavado rica en cobre y un extractor con cobre agotado; (E) separar dicha solucion de lavado rica en cobre de dicho extractor con cobre agotado para formar una primera solucion de electrolito; (F) pasar dicha primera solucion de electrolito a una pila electrolítica equipada con al menos un primer ánodo y al menos un primer cátodo, y aplicar una cantidad efectiva de voltaje a través de dicha primer ánodo y dicho primer cátodo para depositar polvo de metal de cobre en dicho primer cátodo; y (G) separar dicho polvo de metal de cobre de dicho primer cátodo. En una realizacion, la primera solucion de electrolito utilizada en el paso (F) se caracteriza por una concentracion de iones cloruro de hasta aproximadamente 5 ppm. En una realizacion, la primera solucion de electrolito utilizada en el paso (F) contiene al menos un triazol. En una realizacion, el polvo de metal de cobre se convierte en lámina de cobre. En una realizacion, el polvo de metal de cobre se convierte en oxido cuproso, oxido cuprico o su mezcla; estos oxidos de cobre se pueden disolver fácilmente en ácido sulfurico y utilizar para producir lámina de cobre.
