Abstract

La presente invencion proporciona un material superabsorbente que comprende una combinacion de (1) un superabsorbente anionico, en el cual de 20% a 100% de los grupos funcionales están en forma de ácido libre, y (2) un superabsorbente cationico, en el cual 20 a 100% de los grupos funcionales están en forma básica, estando el superabsorbente cationico basado en un polisacárido o un polímero de unidades de un monomero de la formula (i), en donde R1 y R2 que pueden ser iguales o diferentes, son cada uno radicales orgánicos que no afectan de manera adversa las propiedades del polímero, y X es un anion adecuado. La combinacion es particularmente efectiva como un superabsorbente en el caso de soluciones que contienen electrolitos, tal como menstruacion y orina.
