Abstract
Se describen aparatos y métodos para tratar corrientes de gas que contienen variaciones en la concentracion de compuestos orgánicos volátiles en donde se destruyen los compuestos orgánicos volátiles en una combinacion de sistema de oxidacion no catalítico/catalítico (33). Se usa una matriz de destruccion no catalítica (12) compuesta de materiales cerámicos inertes (14) que mejoran el mezclado del proceso y proporcionan inercia térmica para la estabilidad del proceso, cuando las contracciones de los compuestos orgánicos volátiles son elevadas, y se usa un oxidante catalítico (36) principalmente cuando las concentraciones de compuestos orgánicos volátiles son bajas.
