Abstract
Procedimiento para la polimerizacion fotocatalítica de una olefina cíclica o al menos dos olefinas cíclicas distintas, en presencia de un compuesto de metal como catalizador, caracterizado porque se efectua una polimerizacion fotoquímica de apertura de anillo por metátesis en presencia de una cantidad catalítica de al menos un compuesto termoestable de niobio(V) o tantalio(V), el cual contiene al menos dos grupos metilo o dos grupos metilo monosustituidos, no conteniendo el sustituyente ningun átomo de hidrogeno en posicion (alfa). El procedimiento también se puede llevar a cabo de modo que primero se irradia y la polimerizacion se termina por calentamiento. El procedimiento es adecuado, por ejemplo, para la fabricacion de masas moldeadas termoplásticas, recubrimientos y reproducciones de relieves.
