Abstract

Se describe una interconexion auxiliar telefonica para uso con un servicio de almacenamiento y entrega de mensajes de voz y/o datos a base de red, que detecta y alerta al abonado en cuanto a la existencia de mensajes en espera. El dispositivo de interconexion utiliza una combinacion de deteccion de repique de CA (corriente alterna) y escrutinio o muestreo de llamadas externas de la red para determinar si una notificacion visual y/o audible se debe proveer al abonado. Esto es, si el teléfono del abonado no es contestado después de un numero seleccionado de repiques, la interconexion muestrea la red después de un retardo apropiado para determinar si se dejo algun mensaje. Si la línea del abonado está ocupada o en envío de llamada en tanto que una parte llamadora busca dejar un mensaje, la plataforma de servicio de la red almacena el mensaje y espera un intervalo seleccionado antes de buscar alertar al abonado. Ventajosamente, el dispositivo está configurado como una unidad a propuestas del consumidor, pequeña y no cara, la cual se conecta fácilmente a todos los sistemas telefonicos analogicos estándar que utilizan conectadores modulares.
