Abstract

Se obtiene un poliprenol completamente de forma trans por medio de: (A) someter un derivado de 3,7-dimetil-6-hidroxi-7-octen-1-01 a m-tiempos de reaccion de alargamiento de cinco átomos de carbono que comprende hacer reaccionar con 2-metil-3,3-dimetoxi-1-buteno y reducir el grupo de carbonilo del compuesto resultante, para obtener un derivado de alcohol de alilo; (B) halogenar el grupo de hidroxilo del derivado de alcohol de alilo para convertir el mismo a fin de formar un derivado de haluro de alilo; (C) permitir que el derivado de haluro de alilo reaccione con un derivado de sulfona de poliisoprenilo a fin de formar un derivado de poliprenol sulfonado; y (D) someter el derivado de poliprenol sulfonado a desulfonado para obtener el poliprenol completamente de forma trans.
