Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a métodos de extincion de un incendio con composiciones las cuales incluyen un hidrofluorocarburo y un aditivo depurador o de exclusion del ácido. Las composiciones extinguidoras de incendios preferiblemente incluyen uno o más de los hidrocarburos de la formula CxHyFz, en donde (y + z) = (2x + 2), y en donde y es menor o igual a x. El aditivo depurador o de exclusion del ácido se selecciona preferiblemente del grupo que consiste de terpenos, aceites insaturados, bicarbonato de sodio, bicarbonato de potasio, fosfato de monoamonio, haluros de metales alcalinos y urea.
