Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un método para hacer un material mixto de cristal líquido, en donde volumenes variados de un material de cristal líquido están dispersados en un material de matriz y el material de cristal líquido es por lo menos parcialmente separado del material de matriz mediante un material de encapsulacion dispuesto entre ellos, dicho método comprende los pasos de: a) emulsificar una combinacion del material de cristal líquido, el material de encapsulacion y un medio de vehículo para formar una emulsion, en donde las cápsulas que comprenden un volumen del material de cristal líquido contenido dentro del material de encapsulacion, están suspendidas en el medio de vehículo; b) separar las cápsulas del medio de vehículo; c) dispersar las cápsulas en un medio, en el cual está presente el material de matriz o un precursor del mismo; y d) hacer que el material de matriz o su precursor se fijen alrededor de las cápsulas, para formar el material mixto de cristal líquido.
