Abstract

Un procedimiento para producir un copolímero de poliacetal que es extremadamente estable desde el punto de vista térmico y es extremadamente reducido en la cantidad de terminales inestables, aun en un rendimiento elevado de polimerizacion, en donde el trioxano como monomero principal comprende la copolimerizacion de trioxano como monomero principal con un éter cíclico o formal cíclico que tiene por lo menos una ligadura de carbono como comonomero, utilizando un heteropoliácido específico o su sal como catalizador de polimerizacion, hasta que disminuya el contenido de los monomeros residuales hasta a lo sumo 10% en peso con base en la totalidad de monomeros alimentados; añadir de 0.01% a 10% en peso, con base en el polímero crudo resultante, de una solucion que contiene un desactivador de catalizador, o poniendo en contacto un gas básico como desactivador para desactivar el catalizador, y someter el polímero crudo tal cual a un tratamiento de fusion por calor, sin lavarlo.
