Abstract

Se describen formas de cadena unica del cuarteto de hormonas de glicoproteína, por lo menos algunos miembros del cual se encuentran en la mayor parte de los vertebrados. En una modalidad de estas formas de cadena unica, las subunidades alfa y beta de los heterodímeros de tipo silvestre o sin alteracion, o sus variantes, están unidos de manera covalente opcionalmente a través de una porcion de enlace. Se puede incluir adicionalmente una droga o medicamente dentro de la porcion de enlace para que tenga como objetivo los receptores para esta hormonas. Algunas de las formas de cadena unica son agonistas, y otras son antagonistas de la actividad de la hormona de glicoproteína. Otra modalidad de los compuestos de cadena unica de la invencion comprende dos subunidades beta de las hormonas de glicoproteína, subunidades beta las cuales son iguales o diferentes. Estas formas "dos- beta" son antagonistas de la actividad de la hormona de glicoproteína.
