Abstract

Esta invencion se relaciona a revestimientos de poliuretano de bajo VOC, en dos partes, que comprende un componente poliisocianato de baja viscosidad que tiene una funcionalidad isocianato mayor que dos y un componente poliol que tiene una funcionalidad igual o mayor que dos. La mejora reside en la utilizacion de un componente isocianato unico en la formulacion de revestimiento de poliuretano en dos partes. El componente isocianato comprende el componente poliisocianato de baja viscosidad y un prepolímero terminado en extremo o terminado en isocianato, formado por la reaccion de un diisocianato y un poliol multifuncional, el prepolímero tiene al menos aproximadamente 85 y de preferencia 90 por ciento en peos de un aducto 2:1 de isocianato a poliol (NCO/OH) y menos de aproximadamente 1 y de preferencia menos de aproximadamente 0.5% en peso de monomero de diisocianato residual.
