Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un método para hacer acero con alto contenido de nitrogeno a partir de una carga que comprende una cantidad de metal ferroso fundido, dicho método comprendiendo: a) soplar oxígeno gaseoso en el metal ferroso fundido para reducir el contenido de carbono de dicho metal ferroso; b) soplar una primera proporcion de nitrogeno gaseoso en dicho metal fundido; c) introducir por lo menos una porcion de dicho metal fundido en un ambiente de baja presion para reducir adicionalmente el contenido de carbono de dicho metal y, mientras está ahí; d) introducir una segunda proporcion de nitrogeno gaseoso en el metal fundido.
