Abstract

Las características de autocalentamiento de un catalizador de combustiónespontánea (combustible en forma espontánea) se reducen mediante eltratamiento de un catalizador con un hidrocarburo que contiene oxígeno yque tiene al menos 12 átomos de carbono. El tratamiento es particularmenteapropiado para reducir las características de autocalentamiento decatalizadores que contiene óxidos de metal sulfurables, catalizadorespreazufrados, catalizadores presulfurados o catalizadores reducidos.Cuando se aplica a catalizadores que contiene azufre, el tratamientoproporciona un catalizador que tiene propiedades de autocalentamientosuprimidas sin comprometer substancialmente su retención de azufre o suactividad. Además los catalizadores de hidrofraccionamiento tratados conhidrocarburos que contienen oxígeno dan un rendimiento de productomejorado. Además, se proporciona un método de descarga segura de uncatalizador desde un reactor, en donde el catalizador en el reactor setrata con una mezcla líquida que contiene el hidrocarburo que contieneoxígeno para humedecer al catalizador.
