Abstract

Un agente para profilaxis o tratamiento de cataratas, que comprende como ingrediente activo por lo menos un compuesto seleccionado de un grupo que consiste de un compuesto de carboestiril de la fórmula: un compuesto seleccionado de un grupo que consiste de un compuesto de carboestiril de la fórmula: R1 en donde R es un grupo alcoxi inferior substituido con alcanoilo inferior y el enlace entre las posiciones 3 y 4 del núcleo del carbostirilo es un solo enlace o un doble enlace, o una sal del mismo, 5-dimetilamino-1-{4-(2-metilbenzoilamino)-benzoil} -2, 3, 4,5-tetrahidro-1H-benzazepina y 5-hidroxi-7-cloro-1-{2-metil-4-(2-metil-benzoilami no)benzoil-}-2, 3, 4, 5-tetrahidro-1H-benzazepina, un método para profilaxis o tratamiento de cataratas que usa el mismo.
