Abstract
Se describe un método de tratamiento térmico de materiales carbonosos, que comprende calentar dichos materiales mediante la radiación por microondas en una primera zona, que tiene una atmósfera en la cual se impide sustancialmente la generación de llama, y luego mover parte del material carbonoso caliente a una segunda zona donde se libera la energía térmica a un intercambiador de calor, la energía térmica es latente o generada por la combustión del material en la segunda zona. Así como el aparato que comprende un alojamiento con una primera (3) y una segunda (4) zona, una fuente de radiación de microondas (5), una barrera de gas (14) entre las zonas, y un intercambiador de calor (16) en la segunda zona (4).
