Abstract

De acuerdo con la presente invención, se ha desarrollada un proceso al 1) calentar nitrógeno producido en forma no criogénica a una cierta temperatura mínima, 2) mezclar la corriente de nitrógeno calentada con más de la cantidad estequiométrica de un hidrocarburo, y 3) pasar la mezcla a través de un reactor empacado con un catalizador de metal del grupo del platino, para convertir el oxígeno residual presente en el nitrógeno producido en forma no criogénica, a una mezcla de dióxido de carbono y humedad.
