Abstract

Un sistema de telecomunicaciones con una característica de espera de llamada, comprende una oficina central y una pluralidad de subscriptores. El sistema incluye una disposición para transmitir una señal en una línea ocupada para alertar al subscriptor de la presencia de una llamada entrante, y un registro de espera de llamada de cancelación (CCW) en dicha oficina central. El registro de CCW está asociado con cada línea de subscriptor y se establece para cancelar la característica de espera de llamada en respuesta a recibir un código de cancelación en la línea del subscriptor asociada y se reinicializa al terminar una llamada subsecuente. La oficina central comprende además un registro de espera de llamada de cancelación retardada (DCCW) para cada línea de subscriptor por lo menos con un primer estado y un segundo estado. El registro de DCCW se establece para el primer estado en respuesta a recibir un código de acceso DCCW transmitido sobre su línea de subscriptor asociada. Se provee una disposición para verificar y reinicializar el estado del registro de DCCW cuando la línea asociada se descuelga en respuesta a una llamada entrante. El registro de DCCW se establece en respuesta a la detección de una primera condición de estado en el registro de DCCW para cancelar la característica de espera de llamada sólo por una duración de una sola llamada entrante.
