Abstract
Un método para comprobar un generador eléctrico enfriado por gas (12) paraaveriguar si hay filtraciones de gas enfriador presurizado incluye lospasos de comunicar un recipiente (14) con el gas enfriador presurizado queestá dentro del generador (12); sellar el recipiente (14) una vez que elrecipiente (14) queda lleno de gas enfriador, a una presión dentro delespacio sellado; y a continuación comparar la presión en el espaciosellado con la presión en el recipiente sellado (14) con lo cual unapresión menor en el cual una presión menor en el espacio sellado indicaráuna filtración de enfriador. Preferiblemente, el recipiente (14) estáaislado para preservar el gas enfriador a la temperatura en que estabadentro del generador (12), para mediciones exactas. En contraste conmétodos previamente conocidos, este método puede ser realizado mientrasque el generador está en operación, resultado de una detección y mediciónde la filtraciones mejorada y más realista.
