1372780 Testing containers for leaks C T PEACOCK 14 Sept 1972 43125/72 Heading G1S A container c to be tested is connected to a source of fluid-pressure h , to a second separate source of fluid-pressureg such as coloured liquid or gas, to a smaller leak tight vessel a, and to a small bore transparent tube d provided in parallel with a larger duct f. In operation, both a and c are filled with a first liquid from source h. Valve fl is then closed and source h isolated and a coloured liquid or smoke is injected into the transparent tube d from the second source g. Valve e is then opened and if the coloured liquid is observed to move along the tube d then a leak is indicated.
