Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para proteger elrevestimiento refractario de un recipiente de reacción metalúrgico quecontiene una fusión que consiste de metal y escoria, los agentes dereacción para la fusión se alimentan al baño de metal a través de mediospara introducción dispuestos por debajo y sobre la superficie del baño ylos gases que se escapan de la fusión son quemados posteriormente conagentes oxidantes en el espacio de gas, es decir en el espacio en repososobre la fusión, con lo que los agentes de reacción gaseosos y/o gasesactúan inertemente en el baño de metal se alimentan a la fusión por debajode la superficie del baño, y la superficie de revestimiento refractariototal en el espacio de gas del recipiente de reacción metalúrgico sehumecta por cantidades parciales de fusión en la forma de gotas,salpicaduras, porciones líquidas que ascienden o se expulsan eruptivamentey como una fuente y/o por ola o movimiento de bailoteo del líquido defusión.
