Abstract

La proteína nombrada PTP ID es una proteína tirosina fosfatasa novedosa. La proteína PTP ID puede ser producida por medios recombinantes , por ejemplo empleando una estructura de ácido nucléico que codifica la proteína como se proporciona en la presente. Se presenta también un anticuerpo especifico para un epítopo de la proteína PTP ID. Se presenta también métodos para identificar compuestos que se enlazan a una proteína PTP ID e inhiben o estimulan su actividad enzimática, composiciones farmacéuticas que comprenden PTP ID, así como métodos para tratar una enfermedad asociada con la proteína PTP ID mediante el uso de tales composiciones.
