Abstract
Un método para la fundición a contragravedad de una fusión, que involucra colocar un molde refractario en una cámara de vacío definida dentro de una caja de fundición, en donde el molde puede opcionalmente rodearse por material de soporte en partículas en la cámara de vacío. El molde incluye una cavidad de molde y un pasaje en serpentín de entrada de la fusión, formado por miembros refractarios acoplados por debajo de la cavidad de molde y en comunicación de flujo de fusión con la misma. El pasaje en serpentín de entrada de la fusión, está comunicado con un tubo de llenado que se extiende desde la cámara de fusión hacia una fuente subyacente de fusión. El molde/cámara y la fuente se mueven relativamente para acoplar el tubo de llenado y la fuente. Se aplica una presión diferencial entre la cavidad del molde y la fuente para forzar la fusión hacia arriba a través del tubo de llenado y el pasaje en serpentín de entrada de la fusión hacia la cavidad de molde. El molde/cámara y la fuente se mueven entonces relativamente para desacoplar el tubo de llenado y la fuente después de que la cavidad de molde se llena con la fusión. El molde/cámara, como una unidad, se hace girar en una dirección tal que el pasaje en serpentín de entrada de fusión evite el corrimiento hacia afuera de la fusión, de la cavidad de molde hasta que se invierte en el molde/cámara.
