Abstract

Un proceso para registrar ópticamente información en un material de registro que comprende un substrato revestido con una capa de una ditioquinacridona, entre cuyo substrato y la capa de ditioquinacridona o sobre dicha capa, se puede proveer otra capa de una hidrazona orgánica, o la ditioquinacridona está mezclada con una hidrazona. Se registra la información por irradiación con luz láser en el rango del infrarrojo cercano (IRC), y puede ser leída una o más veces midiendo el desplazamiento en la absorción por el método de transmisión o de reflexión. El sistema es un vehículo de información del tipo que se escribe una sola vez y se lee muchas (WORM, acrónimo por su designación en inglés: Write Once, Read Many).
